Funded Companies

Science House Capital is an investment fund that provides early stage funding for high technology start-up companies. Our first investment was made in late 2008, and several more companies are now in the evaluation pipeline.

HandHold Adaptive™ is a private research and development company that invents and develops handheld technology to broadly enrich the lives of the developmentally disabled and everyone around them. Handheld technology provides a flexible, portable platform to serve as a multi-sensory, continuously adaptive bridge between the developmentally challenged child and the “neurotypical” world.

HandHold Adaptive believes the disabled shouldn’t be left out of the wireless revolution, and they are committed to adapting mass market consumer devices for special needs applications. They have recently launched iPrompts™ v1.02 as the first of many steps in bridging the digital divide to the developmentally different population.

SeeClickFix encourages everyone to become citizens by participating in taking care of and improving their neighborhoods. The technology allows anyone to:

  • See - see a non-emergency issue in your neighborhood
  • Click - open a ticket describing the issue and what can be done to resolve it
  • Fix - publicly report the issue to everyone for resolution

A few local governments have enough sophistication to run functional websites or 311 hot lines, but most do not have the resources to do much more than brochure-ware. This site is a place for citizens from anywhere to give their local government a website that tracks local issues. No set-up time. No hiring consultants to study the issue. Just SeeClickFix.

newport credentialing

Newport Credentialing Solutions is a healthcare technology and services business that manages the time consuming process of physician enrollment and credentialing. With the average physician completing 15 to 20 applications per year at 1 to 2 hours per application, Newport frees the physician from the administrative tasks related to enrollment and credentialing and allows the physician focus on what is most important – providing superior clinical care.

Newport understands that technology coupled with domain experience equals improved results. Newport’s advanced credentialing workflow software enables Newport to proactively manage every aspect of the credentialing and expirables management process. Newport's credentialing workflow software enables them to centrally store all physician documentation, maintain secure individual subscriber accounts (authenticated and verified using the highest level of e-commerce protection), access the most up to date insurance company applications, and use mapping technology which maps required data elements to the appropriate fields across all insurance payer applications. The end result is decreased administrative work and increased revenue.
