Dan Menelly, science teacher, writer and lecturer and the star of the Science House iPhone app, Video Science, will be talking about the Life and Times of Galileo. What motivated Galileo? How did he become the first intellectual celebrity? Dan has recently presented a series of science lectures in Europe including the life of Galileo in Rome, volcanic eruptions and the lost civilization of Akrotiri in Greece, and marine fauna in southern France. |
