Each Science House photo/video session involves many hours of pre-session planning, shooting time, and post-production, as well as the collective effort of teams of people and the use of expensive photographic equipment. We are proud of the high quality of these images, and thrilled that they can help educate and enlighten our many website visitors. We are also grateful to the many scientific subjects who have dedicated considerable time to each of the sessions. These subjects have put their trust in Science House to use the images to promote science in a positive light throughout the world, and to control how the photos and videos are presented to the public. Science House has detailed rules and guidelines (see below) as to how these images may be used.

All photographs and videos on the Science House website are offered for information purpose only as a collective work and are the property of the respective contributors. The copyright on the materials will be protected by both Science House and the contributing owners of these materials. Unauthorized reproduction or use of any of these photographs or videos is copyright infringement and completely prohibited. Reproduction or use is defined as downloading, copying, distributing, posting, adapting, adopting, capitalizing on, reselling, manipulating, or utilizing any intellectual property in any way (including chat board or forum posts). Source acknowledgement does not constitute authorization. Use of images, materials and/or intellectual property for press or public use must accompany written consent from both Science House and the image’s stated owner. Copyright infringement is punishable by law and is strictly enforced.

If you would like to use one of our images or videos, please email license@sciencehouse.com identifying the image(s) in which you are interested and how you would like to use them. There is no guarantee that permission will be granted, but we are interested in discussing the possibilities.
